As far as hiking is concerned, the choice is very wide. For the less athletic, Sassello offers pleasant walks along the paths close to the historic centre or in the Deiva Forest, while the more trained can devote themselves to long and demanding but extremely rewarding routes, such as those that reach the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri and the suggestive Monte Beigua plateau.
Particularly worth mentioning is the Sassello-Colle Bergnon-Monte Avzè route, which winds among beech, pine and rock.
On clear days, the summit of Monte Avzè offers the thrill of sweeping views as far as Capo Noli and the Island of Bergeggi.
